పదంPadam

Privacy policy

Effective 16 October 2026. Applies to the Padam app and keyboard for Android (package com.nktools.padam).

Padam is a Telugu keyboard with a small companion app. This page explains what information each part handles, why, and the choices you have. You don't create an account, and we don't sell your personal information.

What you type stays on your phone

The Padam keyboard turns the letters you type into Telugu on your phone. It never sends what you type to us or to anyone else, and it needs no internet connection to work. The word list it uses is stored inside the app.

To put your favourite words first, the keyboard remembers words you pick from its suggestions, with a count of how often you picked them. This list is stored only on your phone. It is never learned from password, email, web-address or number fields, or from apps that ask keyboards not to learn. You can delete it at any time in the Padam app under Settings > Forget learned words; uninstalling Padam also deletes it.

Android shows a standard warning when you turn on any keyboard you install, because a keyboard could in principle collect what you type. Padam does not.

Information the app keeps on your phone

Your coins, unlocked keyboard colours, daily check-in streak and settings (key sound, vibration, reminders) are stored only on your device and are not sent to us.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The Padam app, not the keyboard, shows a banner ad and optional rewarded videos through Google AdMob. Ads never appear inside the keyboard. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Padam under Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings.

Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

To understand which parts of the app are used, the Padam app may send anonymous usage events to Google Firebase Analytics, such as switching the keyboard on, choosing a keyboard colour, earning or spending coins, and collecting the daily check-in. These events never include anything you type. They are tied to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name or email. Firebase may also collect basic device information such as model and operating-system version.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Padam shows an evening reminder to collect your daily check-in. Reminders are scheduled on your phone and need no internet connection or server. You can turn them off in Settings or in Android's notification settings.

Children

Padam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us below.

Data security and retention

Data sent to Google's advertising and analytics services travels over encrypted connections and is kept according to Google's policies. Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.
